Assessment and Professional Development

We emphasize the use of assessment results to initiate program improvement by providing assessment data that are timely, specific, and relevant to a variety of audiences, including faculty, staff, students, campus leaders, and accrediting organizations. Assessment calendars align with the university-wide schedule, whenever possible. The Undergraduate College also supports and conducts assessments that contribute to the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), accreditation reporting (SACSCOC), and state reporting (THECB).

Professional development activities support the knowledge acquisition and skill enhancement of staff. A variety of assessment-related topics are explored through trainings, workshops and individual coaching sessions.
