Assessment activities in UGS serve the programs and initiatives of the school and align with the goals of The University of Texas at Austin. University-wide assessment is guided by the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. UGS school-wide and program-level assessment calendars align with the university-wide schedule, whenever possible. UGS also supports and conducts assessments that contribute to the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), accreditation reporting (SACSCOC), and state reporting (THECB).
Assessment Plans and Logic Models
UGS assessment goals are mapped to: (1) UGS areas (programs, centers, and support units); (2) the UGS strategic goals; and (3) university mission or accreditation activities. The UGS assessment goals are achieved through the support of school-wide and UGS area programs, activities, and services. We use assessment plans and logic models to plan and document the assessment cycles. To monitor our progress toward assessment goals, measurable outcomes are identified and monitored over the assessment cycle. Assessment plans and logic models may be accessed via Box.
UGS Assessment Standards & Procedures
The School of Undergraduate Studies values assessment and its use across all programs and university-wide initiatives. Please see the UGS assessment expectations that all UGS programs are encouraged to follow.
