2016 Texas Student Research Showdown

The Texas Student Research Showdown is a video and presentation competition for undergraduate researchers at The University of Texas at Austin. In the first round, students create two-minute videos about their research, which are voted on by UT students and judged by a faculty panel. The judges’ top three videos, along with the three videos that receive the most votes, continue to a final round in which students give six-minute research presentations to a live audience and judging panel.

Texas Student Research Showdown Voting Ends

Undergraduate researchers have produced 15 short videos to highlight their research discoveries and creative activity. Current UT students are encouraged to vote for their favorite videos by the deadline of 11:59 p.m., Oct. 19. The creators of the top three vote-winning videos, along with the top three videos selected by our panel of judges, will be invited to present their work to a live audience at the Showdown final round on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 3:30 p.m. in Avaya Auditorium (POB 2.302) , where they will compete for $2500 in student research awards.
