Scholarships

Help students gain real-world experiences outside the classroom. Opportunities are also available to support faculty and staff who enhance the UT undergraduate experience.

Academic Enrichment

The School of Undergraduate Studies currently offers grants to encourage students to explore academic interests and careers through internships, research, or study abroad. UGS seeks donors to fund exploration grants in the following programs.

Forty Acres Scholarship

In partnership with the Texas Exes, Undergraduate Studies supports students with the creation of several Forty Acres Scholarships.

The Forty Acres Scholars Program is a four-year merit scholarship created by the Texas Exes Scholarship Foundation to recruit and recognize exceptional students. Its offerings go far beyond full tuition, developing a rich college experience that provides academic, leadership, cultural, and team-building activities.

The Forty Acres Scholarship attracts high-achieving, intellectually curious students who plan to explore academic options while on campus.

Staff Support

The Cale McDowell Award for Innovation in Undergraduate Studies encourages research or innovation that improves The University of Texas at Austin’s core curriculum. The annual award is primarily for staff in the School of Undergraduate Studies, but any student, faculty, or staff member who demonstrates extraordinary effort or a strong individual commitment to improving the undergraduate experience at UT Austin may be nominated.
