Julius Glickman is the former managing partner of Glickman, Carter & Bachynsky, LLP and an award-winning Houston attorney. He earned his bachelor of arts degree in Plan II and law degree from the University of Texas at Austin. As an undergraduate, Julius served as Student Government president from 1962-1963 and was a member of the Friars, the Silver Spurs, and the Tejas Club.
Still active in the UT community, Julius is chair of the Liberal Arts Advisory Council and has chaired the Chancellor’s Council, the Development Board, the Liberal Arts Advisory Council, and the Campaign for Texas Committee. He’s also been a member of numerous other university councils and committees. Glickman also served on the university’s Commission of 125.
His generosity and civic involvement extends far outside the Forty Acres. Julius is is involved in numerous organizations and has served as the director of organizations such as the Houston Symphony, Big Brothers, Bill of Rights Foundation, the Texas Historical Foundation, and the YMCA of Great Houston Area.
Julius resides in Houston with his wife, Suzan. The couple has two children, Oscar (B.A. ’95) and Jennifer, and four grandchildren.
