Bobby Perez holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law. He is a former Bexar County Prosecutor and San Antonio City Council Member, has been a visible figure in public issues including economic development matters, public finance and corporate risk management on behalf of numerous clients during his 23-year legal career.
As Spurs Sports and Entertainment (SS&E) senior vice president of general counsel and corporate relations, Bobby works in legal affairs, economic development, personnel relations, risk management and government relations. Before SS&E, he was a shareholder at Shelton & Valadez P.C. since 1995 handling complex litigation, government relations, public finance and has represented public and private entities in front of state and local government
Bobby has also served as chairman and vice chairman of San Antonio City Council Committees, elected to the board of directors of San Antonio Bar Association, elected as Region IV president of Hispanic National Bar Association, general counsel for San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, named as “Outstanding Young Lawyer” by San Antonio Bar Association, and selected as San Antonio Business Journal “40 under 40” rising leaders and recognized as “Top Government Affairs Lawyer” by S.A. Scene Magazine.
Bobby lives in San Antonio, TX with his wife, Julie, and their three children Christopher, Brianna, and Nicholas. He joined the School of Undergraduate Studies Advisory Council in the spring of 2017.
