Amy is a Dallas native whose family roots span from west Texas to the Texas gulf coast. She is a Plan II graduate from The University of Texas and received her Juris Doctorate degree from Southern Methodist University.
After practicing law for 15 years in Dallas, Amy turned her passion for interior design into her second career and launched her residential design firm Southern Contemporary Design.
Amy lives in Dallas, TX with her husband Brian, an attorney with the firm of Deans & Lyons, and her two children, Charlotte and Carter. She joined the School of Undergraduate Studies Advisory Council in the spring of 2017.
