Research Week 2019 Kicks Off

Each year, Research Week showcases an array of undergraduate research projects from across the Forty Acres. Students present their projects and promote the impressive opportunities available at a tier-one research institution.

Undergraduates can get involved in research and creative activity at The University of Texas at Austin by assisting in ongoing faculty research or by starting projects of their own, regardless of their majors or disciplines. Student researchers gain hands-on experience in their disciplines, add to a field’s body of knowledge, and work closely with professors who can then serve as excellent references and write letters of recommendation. Some students even become authors on published papers in academic journals.

Contact the Office of Undergraduate Research to get involved. Check out our profiles of student researchers to hear about their experiences.
