Jaden Janak is a Ph.D. student studying African and African Diaspora Studies (AADS). They have served as a teaching assistant (TA) for two Undergraduate Studies Courses: Difficult Dialogues: Gender, Race, Policing and Incarceration; and UGS 303: Blackness and Mass Incarceration.

The fourteenth annual fall University Lecture Series (ULS) invited notable professors from across the Forty Acres to discuss two pressing global issues: the novel coronavirus pandemic and race and social justice in America. Leadership Summit More than 40 first-year students attended the 2020 Undergraduate Studies Leadership Summit. During the four-day virtual retreat, UGS students learned about leadership styles, made new friends, and received advice from upperclassmen on how to ease the transition to college.
