More Participants Help Undergraduate Studies Surpass Fundraising Goals

When the clock ran out on this year’s 40 Hours for the Forty Acres fundraising campaign, the School of Undergraduate Studies had raised $79,825, breaking last year’s record of $30,078, a 164% increase from 2016 to 2017. The campaign kicked off at 6 a.m. on April 12 and ended 40 hours later at 10 p.m. on April 13, netting $7,632,622 across all colleges, schools, and units at The University of Texas at Austin.

The School of Undergraduate Studies also broke last year’s record for individual donors. With 52 gifts from 50 donors including Advisory Council members, parents, faculty, and staff, the school placed ninth among the 24 participating auxiliary units across the Forty Acres. This represents an increase of 42% over last year’s donor participation. 20 of the school’s gifts came from individuals donating $2,500 or more.

Thank you to all of the donors who help the School of Undergraduate Studies enrich the education of undergraduates at The University of Texas at Austin!
