Part of the fourth annual Academic Accolades, UT Athletics honored the Bridging Disciplines Programs during Monday’s basketball game. BDPs allow students to complement their degrees with interdisciplinary certificates that integrate classroom, research, and internship experiences.
Jeanette Herman, assistant dean for academic initiatives and director of the BDPs, Senior Academic Advisor Erin Thomas, and BDP students Alexandra Macias and Danielle Gorel were recognized on the court during halftime, along with nominees from other colleges and schools.
“It’s amazing to be acknowledged by a university department that is so influential and important to the Longhorn experience,” Thomas said. “We’re honored to be recognized for our contributions to the UT academic community alongside distinguished professors and other great UT programs.”
