CSA Advisor Blogs for National Audience

In a blog post on USA Today’s College Blog, Center for Strategic Advising’s Brad Popiolek recommends that students volunteer, intern, join a student organization, and use social media to get ahead and explore majors. He’s been taking his own advice: Brad was the official blogger for this year’s NACADA (National Academic Advising Association) conference, and also ran the conference’s Twitter and Facebook pages, coordinated with a hashtag.

Brad used the NACADA blog to prepare conference participants for the event with travel tips, share video interviews with organizers, and included a Twitter feed so that participants could come to one place for up-to-date information on presentations. And that’s not all: he also tweets about advising issues on his own page.
