Blackstone LaunchPad at UT Austin
Blackstone LaunchPad is a program that helps students of all backgrounds navigate the UT entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Think of us as the Google Maps for everything entrepreneurship on campus and in Austin.
We educate students on the startup resources available to them on campus and beyond, provide physical space for coworking and small events, connect students to startup mentors, and provide access to opportunities through outside partners – especially the Blackstone Charitable Foundation and Techstars.
Where do I start?
- Swing by and learn about startup resources for students.
- Book a meeting with our mentors.
- Cowork with other student entrepreneurs or host your startup-related event in our space (FAC 101D).
- Attend our workshops and events.
- Apply for our summer accelerator program – SEAL.
Why do we exist?
We believe that entrepreneurship is for everyone.
Our program allows students to explore entrepreneurship at their own pace while creating an inclusive cross-disciplinary environment that encourages them to make an impact through entrepreneurship and innovation. Even if students supported by our program do not go on to start their own companies, they will be better prepared to enter the modern workforce with an entrepreneurial mindset.
The Blackstone LaunchPads powered by Techstars are campus-based entrepreneurship programs developed as part of the Blackstone Charitable Foundation’s Entrepreneurship Initiative and is powered by Techstars, the worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed. The Blackstone LaunchPad at UT was founded in 2017, enabled by a generous grant from the Blackstone Charitable Foundation.
