Announcing New Bridging Disciplines Certificate in Design Strategies
We are excited to announce that, beginning this semester, UT students will have the opportunity to earn a BDP certificate in Design Strategies. This newest BDP certificate program lets students apply an interdisciplinary framework for human-centered design thinking in order to solve product, systems, service, and social problems. Digital Arts & Media BDP Student Develops Art and Assets for 2D Video Game
Through the 2D Game Development Capstone course, Digital Arts & Media BDP student Jasmine Uy worked with a team on a 2D video game for her Creative Project. The game involved a puzzle platform with a plot centered on healing from emotional trauma. As a Studio Art major, Jasmine’s goal was to focus on learning how to create assets for the game’s design and programming. Read more about her project.
Environment & Sustainability BDP Student Researches Renewable Energy in Texas
Audrey Wilkes, Environment & Sustainability BDP student majoring in Civil Engineering, conducted independent research on the social, economic, and political factors that contribute to renewable energy practices in Texas. This experience exposed her to a variety of disciplinary lenses, including perspectives from natural sciences and social sciences, through which she examined sustainability issues. Timmy Huynh graduated in May 2010, completing simultaneous majors in Economics and Geography and a BDP Certificate in Social Inequality, Health & Policy with a concentration in Social Inequality.
