Discuss your general career path since graduating from UT.

Since graduating from UT, I have worked in various roles in Texas politics in both the legislative arena and the campaign arena. I have served as political campaign manager for three members of the Texas House as well as assistant committee clerk for two House Committees.

How did your BDP experience influence your career path and interests?

The Human Rights & Social Justice certificate program within the BDP influenced my career path and interests as I learned more about the role of public policy and human rights. This experience furthered my desire to serve in the public sector.

What do you value most about your BDP experience?

Interdisciplinary education is what I value most from my BDP experience.

In what ways did an interdisciplinary education prepare you for what you are currently doing?

Interdisciplinary education prepared me to think critically across multiple subject matters and disciplines. This form of education has been an asset in the field of government as I am constantly presented with changing policy matters.
