Erick Munoz

Erick Munoz

Graduation: Spring 2013

An international student from Mexico, Erick was initially accepted to the School of Undergraduate Studies instead of his first choice—Radio, Television, Film (RTF). As a UGS student, Erick completed core coursework, got involved with RTF-related activities, and worked with his advisor, Rose Mastrangelo, to achieve his goal of getting into the RTF program. After spending three semesters as a UGS student, Erick transferred to RTF and graduated on time.

Major: Undeclared

Haley’s hard work and academic achievements have earned her the title of College Scholar. Haley entered UT as a geology major, but transferred to UGS where she explored her options and discovered a passion for music business.

Horacio Villarreal

Horacio Villarreal

Major: History and Government
Graduation: Spring 2014

Horacio is the 2013-2014 UT student body president. Originally interested in biology and medicine, Horacio spent two semesters exploring his options as a student in the School of Undergraduate Studies and is now double majoring in history and government.

Isabella Sheehan

Isabella was accepted to the School of Undergraduate Studies instead of her first choice, public relations. As she prepares her application for the Moody College of Communication this spring, Isabella has been busy gaining valuable experiences through her internships and participation in student organizations.

Ivy Mestrovic

Major: Anthropology
Graduation: Spring 2013

Ivy spent her first two years in UGS exploring majors before discovering a European folklore class that changed everything. Now an anthropology major, Ivy will graduate this spring and begin her graduate studies in the fall.

Jensen Blezinger

Major: Corporate Finance
Graduation: Spring 2014

Jensen spent four semesters at UGS and explored different options in the McCombs School of Business before declaring Corporate Finance as her major. She will be working at Silicon Valley Bank in California after graduation.

Jordan Pickett

Major: Undeclared

Jordan’s outstanding academic record has earned him the title of College Scholar. Jordan entered UT as an undeclared student in UGS, and, after exploring his interests, now hopes to major in public health and pursue dental school.

Lauren Fedele

Lauren Fedele

Major: Urban Studies and Geography
Graduation: Spring 2014

Lauren received the 2014 President’s Student Employee of the Year Award for her hard work in Facilities Services and the Campus Environmental Center. Lauren spent three semesters as an Undergraduate Studies student before declaring majors in urban studies and geography. She’s also completing a minor in Spanish and a BDP certificate in the Environment.

Major: Economics with Business Foundations
Graduation: Spring 2014

Lora spent two semesters in UGS exploring her interests. With the help of her academic advisor, she declared a major in economics with a Business Foundations certificate and is graduating in just three years. Lora served as a FIG mentor and a UGS ambassador.

MyHanh Ta

MyHanh Ta

Major: Sociology
Graduation: Spring 2013

MyHanh was originally interested in biology and pre-dental, but after four semesters in UGS she declared sociology and hopes to become a counselor or therapist.
