The School of Undergraduate Studies is pleased to announce the winner of the Signature Course design contest. Dr. Thomas Hubbard’s proposed course, “Sexuality, Politics, and Human Rights” was chosen from many submissions to become a featured UGS 303 course. The award comes with five thousand dollars to support costs associated with course development, and is sponsored by the EU Center of Excellence Grant in the Center for European Studies.
All courses submitted addressed ethical leadership in the European Union and/or in EU-US relations. Applications from all UT Austin colleges and schools were eligible.
Course Proposal Requirements
The proposed courses must:
- never have been taught
- focus on the European Union (if comparative, the course must focus on the EU and the US)
- meet all of the Course Essentials for Signature Courses
- Meet the criteria for the Ethics and Leadership flag
- be offered at least two times beginning with either the fall 2012 or spring 2013 semester
