To learn more about the School of Undergraduate Studies (UGS) and its programs, attend an information session as part of your campus visit. We gather most Friday afternoons at 2 p.m. in FAC 328. Additional sessions are sometimes available on school holidays. Register online.
What to Expect
School representatives will be available to answer all of your questions. Sessions are flexible, and we’ve designed them for a diverse group of students, including those who have an interest in or have been admitted to the School of Undergraduate Studies or any other program at The University of Texas at Austin.
In addition to finding answers to your questions about UGS and the university, you may expect to learn about:
- Vick Center for Strategic Advising: Navigating the complex process of choosing a major
- Core Curriculum: A strong and flexible educational foundation common to every degree
- First-Year Interest Groups: Small learning communities for students of all majors
- Bridging Disciplines Programs: Special interdisciplinary concentrations that can be incorporated into any degree
