BDP Launches New Museum Studies Certificate

We are excited to announce that beginning in fall 2016, UT students will have the opportunity to earn an interdisciplinary BDP certificate in Museum Studies. This newest BDP certificate program lets students explore the role of museums as sites of research, education, and preservation. Read more to learn more about the newest BDP certificate.

BDP Students Featured in Texas Student Research Showdown

BDP students Julia Chernis (Digital Arts & Media) and Ashley Rivera (Media, Culture & Identities) participated in the first annual Texas Student Research Showdown. They created short videos about their Connecting Experience research and were selected as finalists to deliver TED Talk-style presentations for a live audience and panel of judges. Reviewing Highlights of 2015

In 2015, BDP students completed 344 Connecting Experiences on six different continents. By serving 27,520 hours and completing 172 internships, BDP students generated an economic impact of more than $678,000. 131 students graduated with their BDP certificates and nearly 400 students applied to join the BDPs.
