BDPs Review the Highlights of 2014

Last year BDP students completed 244 Connecting Experiences on six different continents. Through hours served in internships, BDP students generated an economic impact of over $389,000. More than 100 students graduated with their BDP certificates and nearly 400 students applied to join the BDPs. View an infographic with more highlights from 2014.

Ethics & Leadership BDP Alumna Plans Career in Public Health Policy

Erin Schwartz graduated in December 2014 with a B.S. in Nursing and an Ethics & Leadership BDP certificate. As a BDP student, she conducted research on political partisanship in Texas women’s health, and on Costa Rica’s universal health care system. Erin is now making plans to embark upon a career in public health policy. (read more)

Student Profile: Cameron Clark

Sociology major Cameron Clark spent the fall semester analyzing ethnographic data to better understand the complex and timely topic of police interaction with communities of color. Cameron will graduate this May with a BDP certificate in Human Rights & Social Justice. (read more)

Student Profile: Lindsey Pearlstein

Sophomore Lindsey Pearlstein built skills in policymaking and research through her internship with the Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. While with TCADP, she participated in a case that resulted in the exoneration of a wrongfully convicted man. Lindsey is pursuing a Public Policy BDP certificate. (read more)
