Membership Eligibilty

Membership to Phi Kappa Phi is by invitation only.

The minimum eligibility requirements for Phi Kappa Phi depends on one’s hours and GPA at The University of Texas.

Undergraduates are eligible in their junior year if they have completed at least 72 in residence hours at The University of Texas at Austin and are in the top seven and a half percent of their college or school. Students are eligible in their senior year if they have completed at least 90 in residence hours at The University of Texas at Austin and are in the top ten percent of their college or school.

Masters students are eligible with at least nine hours of coursework at The University of Texas at Austin.

Doctoral students are eligible with at least 18 hours of coursework at The University of Texas at Austin.

These are only the minimum standards for eligibility. Final discretion for membership is determined by The University of Texas at Austin chapter.
